The power-operated collet chucks are also available in different versions. The power-actuated collet chucks are available in two versions: one for push collets and one for pull collets with pull and push actuation, including Axfix versions. Another important feature is the option of stroke limitation directly on the clamping system, which limits the clamping stroke of the collet chuck. This is particularly useful when machining thin-walled workpieces. These collet chucks are mainly used on the main and counter spindles of a lathe. However, collet chucks are also used for grinding and milling. A wide variety of collet chucks are used on NC/CNC rotary tables or dividing heads.
