Rotary clamping technology can be used on CNC lathes, grinding machines, dividing heads and special machines. Thanks to our very broad product portfolio, we can develop and manufacture part-specific clamping solutions for you. Power chucks are available as 2-/3-/4-/6-jaw chucks in sizes from ø 110-2000 mm, with and without through-hole, as well as centrifugal force compensation and proofline. The chucks are available with different basic jaw systems. Jaw quick-change system-SMW (straight profile toothing), extra wide base jaws with cross offset, pointed toothing inch, pointed toothing metric and cross offset American Standard. We also offer chucks directly with an adaptation (flange) to suit your lathe. We can supply you with flanges with camlock system DIN 55029 / bayonet with stud DIN 55027 / direct mounting ASA or DIN 55026.
The power chucks also impress with their very large range of jaws. For all power chucks, we have the right soft top jaws, soft segment jaws, hard jaws, hard base jaws, gripper jaws, sliding blocks and customer-specific special jaws. Optimizing the set-up times of clamping systems is essential and must function reliably and be monitored in automation solutions. To meet this challenge, we offer you chucks with quick jaw change systems, clamping tool changers for the quick change of complete clamping systems, as well as sensor technology which, thanks to SMW-Electronics, bring safety to your production process. The clamping behavior of a clamping system on a lathe depends on the clamping cylinder, so it is important that the clamping cylinder is designed for the customer workpieces to be machined and the clamping system. The clamping cylinders are available as hollow clamping cylinders, full clamping cylinders, double piston cylinders, pneumatic cylinders, high-pressure cylinders, high-low cylinders and various rotary guides.
SMW has invested heavily in internal clamping technology in recent years and new clamping systems have been developed. Standard products are available as sleeve mandrels from ø 14.7-132.7 mm and segment mandrels from ø 18-105 mm. These systems can also be used to create complete custom-made products.
