Collet chuck Ottet
Ottet system
The system is primarily used for thin-walled or form-fitting workpieces, such as rings, washers, molded parts, etc. The mechanical stroke adjustment enables deformation-free and reliable clamping. In addition, all systems have a possible flushing function. It is often used in the watchmaking and micro-industry. By changing the pressure piece on the piston, both external and internal clamping is possible. We offer OTTET chucks in manual, pneumatic and power-operated versions.
With the power-operated Ottet collet chuck, clamping is initiated via a hydraulic or pneumatic pull/push cylinder on the machine. The mechanical stroke adjustment can be used to limit the clamping stroke, allowing very thin-walled workpieces up to a wall thickness of 0.25 mm to be clamped without deformation. The mechanical stroke adjustment is accessible from the outside and can be set directly on the machine.
The pneumatic clamping system has an internal clamping piston that can be pressurized with compressed air. This allows it to be mounted on machines with or without a pull cylinder; only a rotary feed-through is required to transfer the air to the rotating spindle. The pneumatic chucks are available with and without stroke limitation and are also suitable for stationary use.
These collet chucks are mainly used on counter spindles of a lathe. However, the collet chucks are also used for special clamping fixtures and multiple clamping. The collet chucks are available as blanks in various designs and are machined directly on the machine for specific parts.
We offer collet chucks directly with an adaptation (flange and drawtube adapter) to suit your lathe. Special collet chucks are available on request. Please contact us and we will be happy to make you an offer with the appropriate machine interface.
